The story unfolds during a summer inspired by a city in northern China.
Meet Qicheng, a tabby cat who loved to draw but failed the art entrance exam in high school. He went with the flow, chose a different major, and returned to his hometown at 25 after being laid off.
Then there’s Weigan, Qicheng’s childhood friend, a saber-toothed tiger who never cared much for art, yet breezed into an art university and became an art studio instructor after graduation. By a twist of fate, the two cross paths again.
With help from close friends Xihe and Wangshu, and Lilie, a younger student at the art studio, Qicheng slowly rediscovers the summer he once lost—and the person he was destined to meet…
